Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 19, 2026
WakeDot is an alarm and reminder app for iPhone made by XP Studio. This policy explains what information WakeDot handles, why, and the choices you have. The short version: there is no WakeDot account, no advertising, and no third-party analytics or tracking, in the app or on this website. XP Studio does not run a server that stores your alarms.
Who is responsible for your data
WakeDot is made by XP Studio, the data controller for the information described in this policy. You can reach us at info@wakedot.com.
Information stored on your iPhone
Your alarms, reminders, sounds, wake checks, circles, appearance choices, and other settings are stored on your iPhone. They are removed when you delete them in the app or delete the app.
Calendar
If you allow it, WakeDot reads upcoming events on your iPhone to suggest reminders. This happens on your device. Event details leave your iPhone only if you choose to share a reminder made from that event with a circle.
Circles and shared alarms (iCloud)
Circles are optional. When you create or join one, WakeDot uses Apple iCloud (CloudKit) to share information privately with the people invited to that circle. It is stored in your iCloud account and the accounts of people you share with, under Apple's privacy policy. It is not stored on XP Studio servers and XP Studio cannot read it.
Depending on what you choose to share, members of a circle can see:
- the name you enter for your circle profile;
- wake-up check-ins, when you were last active in the app, and that an alarm is set, if one of your alarms shares with that circle;
- alarms or reminders you share with the circle, including their name, time, and repeat days;
- whether each person added, finished, or removed a shared alarm.
WakeDot never shares your location, camera, microphone, or audio. Circles see your activity only when you share an alarm with them. You can stop sharing an alarm, remove yourself from a circle, or delete a circle at any time; the circle owner controls who is invited.
Notifications and alarms
Alarms use Apple's alarm system, and notifications are delivered by Apple. iCloud may send silent notifications so your iPhone can show circle updates.
Sharing and selling
We do not sell or share personal information, and we do not use it for advertising. Information moves only through Apple services you choose to use: iCloud for circles and the App Store for downloads.
Your choices and rights
Because your information is on your devices and in your iCloud account, you control it directly: edit or delete alarms and circles in the app, turn off Calendar access in iPhone Settings, sign out of iCloud, or delete the app. For any question or request, contact info@wakedot.com.
Children and family use
Circles are designed for families and friends. A child's participation should be managed by a parent or guardian. WakeDot is not directed at children under 13 for any purpose other than family use under a parent's supervision.

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
